The Tread of Pioneers Museum brings regional history to life through a variety of exhibits and displays of antique items. Areas of focus are on the Native American tribes that frequented the area, and also highlight the ranching and mining industries of the region. A library filled with documents of historic interest is housed within the museum, as is an extensive collection of historical photographs. Set inside a historic early-20th century Victorian home, the museum is set right in the heart of town, not far from the Steamboat Ski Resort and downtown's restaurants and shops.
Open Tue. - Sat. 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
