Don't waste the time and money

I must say this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. First of all, I was surprised at the fact that the "finest steakhouse in Steamboat" required that each patron cook their own steak. There is NO OPTION for them to cook it for you. I should have noticed that in the newspaper or magazine ads for the restaurant, but I didn't. So, you go to a case where the steaks are, pick a raw one out, and they give it to you on a plate. You also order your sides there as well, which they said they will “bring out as soon as your steak is done”. At the grill where you cook them, there was no one helping anyone out, so there were many people who had no idea what they should be doing. There was a list on the wall for times for each type of steak so you know how long to cook it, but the times were mainly incorrect. People at the Grill who had been cooking their steaks for 20 minutes were cutting their filet’s in half so they would cook all the way through. That basically ruined the steaks for those people. All the while, you are standing at a grill, cooking your own food, instead of enjoying your friends and family at your table. My steak took 20 minutes, and when I got back to my table it took another 5 minutes for my sides to arrive (after I asked for them). The waiter really did nothing for us, so I really don’t know why they have them there. I could have walked up and picked up my own knife and fork and got my own drinks as well. If they make you do everything else, why have a waiter?? Please save yourself the trouble and money and don’t go to this restaurant – go to the Orehouse or any other steakhouse instead. My dinner was $55 all together and it was terrible.
